Så det saknar egentligt nyhetsvärde.

Men det är klart att Zelenskyj håller sådana anföranden. Det ingår i hans ämbetsåligganden att göra det.

Idag började ett videoklipp spridas, som påstås vara en attack mot staden Vovchansk ruiner med en termobarisk bomb, möjligen den som tidigare kallats "Father of all bombs", nu med typbeteckningen ODAB-9000. Denna skrev jag om redan här: viewtopic.php?p=404492#p404492

Mycket lite är känt om denna bomb, och det är osäkert om den verkligen använts här: Video of Massive Explosion in Vovchansk Allegedly Caused by Russian ODAB-9000 ‘Super-Bomb’
Bomben påstås ha en sprängstyrka på motsvarande upp till 44 ton TNT.

Med tanke på bombens vikt (kanske ~ 7-10 ton) är det få ryska bombplan som kan bära den; Tu-22M3, turboprop-bombaren Tu-95 och jättebombplanet Tu-160. Eftersom det rör sig om en frifallande bomb skulle VKS ta avsevärda risker med att skicka fram någon av dessa för en uppvisning av detta slag. Kyiv Post antar därför att det är fråga om någon av de mindre ODAB-1500 eller ODAB-3000, apterade på UMPK-kit. De kan avlossas från attackplanet Su-34.

Eldklotets utseende vid detonationen tyder dock på att det verkligen rör sig om ett termobariskt vapen, även om det förstås inte går att säga med säkerhet.

Några ryssar beväpnar sina plan med Kh-25

Den här varianten är laserstyrd och har inte bättre skottvidd än ~10 km. Den (något) modernare varianten Kh-29 har en skottvidd på kanske 30 km. och motsvarar grovt sett USA:s AGM-65 Maverick. Den senare missiltypen gick i Sveriges flygvapen under benämningen markmålsrobot 75, men är sedan länge utmönstrad ur arsenalen.

Enda fördelen är att Ukraina förefaller har rätt gott om detta vapen, medan mera långräckviddiga vapen som glidflygbomberna JDAM-ER och GBU-29, liksom "franska bomben" verkar vara bristvaror.

Det enda riktigt långräckviddiga flygburna attackvapen Ukraina disponerar just nu är kryssningsmissilen Storm Shadow/SCALP EG. När och hur den utlovade AGM-154 JSOW-bomben kan sättas in är mera osäkert. Beträffande kryssningsmissilen AGM-158 JASSM finns som bekant inga besked alls.

Enceladus-kollektivet fortsätter att plocka upp flera år gamla inlägg och försöka falsifiera dem genom att ställa dem mot dagens situation. 155mm haubitsen 2S22 Bohdana har jag skrivit om flera gånger: viewtopic.php?p=416941#p416941

Det är klart att det inte är varken är enkelt eller problemfritt att tillverka en så pass komplicerad verkstadsprodukt som en haubits, samtidigt som det pågår ett krig där fienden kan slå till med missiler när som helst. Antagligen krävs ett decentraliserat produktionssätt, där olika komponenter tillverkas på olika platser. Att tillverkningen skulle vara koncentrerad till staden Kramatorsk, som ligger farligt nära fronten, förefaller osannolikt.

Haubitsen är delvis utvecklad i samarbete med Slovakien, i vilken utsträckning det fortfarande pågår, efter det att Robert Fico tog makten där, är väl inte helt klarlagt.

En av förutsättningarna för den föregivna produktionstakten är antagligen av pjäsen nu placeras på en tjeckisk Tatra fordonsplattform.

Men sedan måste man ha granater också, förargligt nog.

Här har de nog glömt svenska Archer, varav Ukraina disponerar ett antal. Vapentekniskt intressant bland självgående haubitser är att utvecklingen går från banddrivna, stridsvagnsliknande fordonplattformar som amerikanska M109, tyska PzH2000 och polska AHS Krab, mot hjuldrivna fordon. En del kan betraktas som hjulkonverteringar av dessa typer, som den kommande tyska RCH 155. Den sistnämnda använder f.ö. fordonplattformen Boxer, samma som används för Rheinmetalls mobila LV-system Skyranger.



Archer och franska Caesar, liksom ukrainska Bohdana, tjeckiska Dana 2 och Dita, slovakiska slovakiska Zuzana 2 och Eva (de östeuropeiska genomgående byggda på plattformar från tjeckiska Tatra, både Dita och Zuzana är vidareutvecklingar av Dana-haubitsen från kommunisttiden) och Rheinmetalls kommande långskjutande haubits, är av en annan typ - i princip en kanon placerad på ett lastbilsflak. De tjeckiska och slovakiska kan i vissa avseenden betraktas som hybrider, jämfört med Bohdana, Eva, Caesar och Archer: CAESAR and DITA howitzers: Different approaches, not direct competition

Flera av ovanstående typer är aktuella för Ukraina. Utan att räkna ens på fingrarna kommer Ukraina nog att hantera över 10 olika typer av 155mm haubitser, vilket naturligtvis skapar en logistisk mardröm.

Varför envisas Europa med kryssningsmissiler när ballistiska missiler har ett klart bättre facit?

Färska satellitbilder visar att några iranska missiler lyckades ta sig förbi det israeliska luftförsvaret, men noggrannheten lämnade en del i övrigt att önska. Hade inte klusterladdade missiler i så fall varit effektivare? Samtidigt verkar Israel inte längre dra sig för att förödmjuka Putin och hans bristfälliga luftförsvar i Syrien:
