Looking for some information about the colour code for Malmo heritage trams car 20 and car 100.
I am part of a small team restoring the only surviving Chester tram in the UK. We know that our tram was painted green though we have no confirmed surviving examples of the colour code. We believe it to be very similar to the Malmo heritage trams and we are looking for the RGB code or HEX code for the colour your trams are painted. If we have the codes then that would allow comparison with some small paint flakes we have.
It would be greatly appreciated if someone has this information and can post it as a reply.
Many thanks, Tony Smith, Chester, UK.

The modern buses don't have the same colour aas the historic trams. The best place to ask is probably the society that operates the old trams: info@mss.se

Re: Malmo Heritage Trams - Green Colour Code
The subject here is the colour of historic Malmö trams, not the colours used in Malmö now. Postings discussing these have been deleted.

Re: Malmo Heritage Trams - Green Colour Code
Thank you for your feedback. I have contacted the info@mss.se museum and I am hoping that they can supply the paint information.
Actually looking at the tram museum site has encouraged me to visit Sweden again to travel on the heritage trams. We had such a great time in Sweden 2 years ago on your trams.
Thanks again, Tony

I don't think you need to know the color codes for other objects (e.g. Malmö vintage trams) because you have your paint flakes as models.
I recommend you do what I did a few years ago:
I took a piece of material with the right color shade painted on it, and took it to a good and competent paint dealer ("Alviks färg"). They were able to give me an exact NCS color code. They can also mix the exact right color tone by hand if I wish. There are good competent staff in that shop with a good sense of color.
It works well for me to do it this way here in Stockholm. Can this approach also work well where you live?
Those who painted the old trams when they were new probably didn't have color codes back in the day. There is no exactly right standard color shade for old trams. Every time the trams were repainted, the color shades became a little different. In addition, the color fades with age from the sunlight.
If you sandpaper or carefully scrape your paint flakes with a knife, you can get the regular, freshly painted color shade.
If you get any color codes from Malmö, I'm interested in learning about them. Please tell us how your project is going on in the future.
Do you have any pictures showing your old trams?

Hej!
