Vad som verkligen faller ut av detta återstår att se. Först ska regeringsbildningen genomföras. T.ex.
France’s National Assembly elects Macron’s choice as its head
Financial Times skrev:By winning the most seats, with about 180 MPs, the NFP — made up of LFI, the more moderate Socialists, Communists and Greens, and others — should have been in pole position for someone from its ranks to become prime minister, but infighting has left it unable to agree on a candidate.
[...]
The conservative party previously known as Les Républicains, although only holding about 55 seats with their allies, made a deal with Macron’s camp to secure certain top jobs in exchange for backing Braun-Pivet as assembly president.
[...]
Clément Beaune, Macron’s former Europe minister, warned on Thursday night that an alliance between Macron and the right would be a “dead end” and that a “broad coalition” was needed to include Socialists, Greens and Communists, as well as moderate conservatives.

Serbia pledges lithium to European carmakers
Financial Times skrev:Serbia has pledged not to sell lithium to Chinese carmakers, promising to favour European car companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Stellantis when it develops one of the world’s largest deposits of the metal.
[...]
Vučić said Chinese carmakers had expressed an interest in buying the lithium, but “we told them that we are discussing this issue with the Europeans. We are loyal to Europe . . . The EU needs lithium and we want to strengthen our connection with the EU.”
[...]
“We don’t need Scholz to come and guarantee to us what will happen in Serbia,” opposition leader Dragan Đilas told news channel N1. “Scholz guarantees things to the citizens of Germany . . . The authorities in Serbia steal elections, persecute political opponents, constantly lie, telling citizens that we live in a phenomenal economy.”

omstridda colombianska kolet:
DW skrev:Since the start of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Germany has been importing more coal from the United States, Australia and Colombia. Almost 3 million tons have come from the South American country so far in 2023 via deals with German energy companies such as EnBW, Uniper, RWE, and STEAG. German banks and insurance companies have also been involved in the lucrative coal business by providing Glencore with bonds, shares, loans, and guarantees.
[...]
"Such dealings are most certainly not part of a foreign policy driven by values," she told DW. "Of course, we can do without coal from Colombia — there are numerous other coal suppliers in the world. Preferably somewhere with fewer human rights violations and higher environmental standards."
According to Kemfert, Germany is itself partly to blame for the controversy surrounding dirty coal from Colombia. She said the coal phaseout could have come long ago if the energy transition had not been delayed for so long. The energy expert told DW that she is calling for more transparency in deals such as the one with Colombia, "But this will also apply to other areas in the future, such as green hydrogen, where similar issues of sustainability and compliance with environmental and social standards will have to be addressed."
Tänk vad enkelt det hade varit om Tyskland importerade olja, gas och kol från Ryssland - där finns det knappast någon som bryr sig om mänskliga rättigheter!
