Reuters skrev:Armenia said on Wednesday it would host a joint military exercise with the United States next week, a development likely to irritate Russia.
The Armenian Defence Ministry said the purpose of the Sept. 11-20 "Eagle Partner 2023" exercise was to prepare its forces to take part in international peacekeeping missions. It did not say how many U.S. and Armenian personnel would be involved.
Russia has a military base in Armenia and sees itself as the pre-eminent power in the South Caucasus region, which until 1991 was part of the Soviet Union.
Russia 'tactically' withdrew from Ukraine's Robotyne, official says
Men Ukraina stannar inte där:Reuters skrev:A Russian-appointed official has acknowledged that Moscow's forces have abandoned the Ukrainian village of Robotyne, more than a week after Kyiv announced its recapture.

Russia has not previously acknowledged the loss of Robotyne, whose recapture was announced by Ukraine on Aug. 28. In its daily update on Tuesday, the Russian Defence Ministry said its forces had repelled two Ukrainian attacks near Robotyne.
More than 18 months after Russia's invasion, Ukraine says it is gaining ground and has broken through Russia's first line of fortifications in several places on the front line, despite repeated statements from Moscow that Ukraine's three-month-old counteroffensive has been a failure.

EU Set to Double Output of Artillery Shells After Slow Start
We see that European industrial capacities have gone up, so this is a positive trend,” Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said in an interview Monday. “Probably by the end of the year — or the beginning of next year — we can produce almost double the size we were producing in Europe compared to a year ago.”
[...]
Pevkur didn’t elaborate on the volumes the industry was expected to reach, but an Estonian policy document sent to member states earlier this year said the bloc had capacity to produce about 300,000 shells per year.
Doubling that figure would mean producing as many as 600,000 shells by the end of this year, with output continuing to grow. A person familiar with the matter said capacity is expected to hit 1 million shells next year.

The Kurganets, Bumerang, and Armata-series of tanks, IFVs, and APCs were supposed to be the future vehicles for the Russian Ground Forces. They were all demonstrated at the Victory Day Parade in 2015. None are in active service.
